PRICE-CHECK GUIDE
Are sale prices always cheaper?
No. A big discount from one retailer's RRP can still cost more than the ordinary price elsewhere. The only reliable answer comes from comparing the exact product.
Ignore the size of the discount first
“50% off” sounds stronger than “20% off”, but each retailer may be using a different starting price. Compare today's selling prices side by side before judging the deal.
Confirm it is the same product
Check the model, complete colourway, gender or age version and SKU. A close match is not enough. Our trainer SKU guide explains how to find the code.
Compare the checkout total
Add delivery and any unavoidable fees. Consider free Click & Collect, but only if collecting is practical. Also check the returns policy—cheap trainers that cannot be returned easily may not be good value.
Check your size, not just “in stock”
A listing can appear available while only one unusual size remains. Strong price comparisons state the exact UK sizes available and clearly flag limited stock.
A real comparison
Our New Balance ABZORB 2010 check matched SKU U201079X at both retailers. The product price was £140 at New Balance and £100 at OFFICE when checked, a £40 difference before delivery.
